A diabetes pump allows a patient to receive their much needed insulin regardless of where they are or what they are doing. If you’re an insulin dependent diabetic, then you surely know the hassle of prepping yourself for your insulin shot and administering the actual shots at the appointed hours of the day. There are times when you have to look for a private room to inject yourself if the rest rooms are crammed full of people. While it is a way of life for people with this condition, most people still get queasy about seeing them injecting insulin. This leaves the patient no other recourse but to hide and do the shots in private.
There is also the matter of injecting insulin on time, changing needles on the insulin pen and replacing the insulin cartridges. For people on the go these may all be too much to deal with. They would rather have a diabetes pump which will take care of everything for them like clockwork.
